C4 xmas message drop out
The Telegraph reports that Khadija Ravat has decided not to front the alternative Channel 4 xmas message after all (see below). Sources cite pressure from “senior members of the community” who thought it was not her place to speak for Islam, and also threatening letters from non-Muslims who thought she was trying to “upstage the queen”.
Channel 4 is currently searching for another niqab to front the show.
LOL. Any bets it was just a publicty stunt all along?
They should get ‘The Phantom Flan Flinger’ in to do it.
The solution’s simple.
1. Take a large plastic bag.
2. Cut a couple of eyeholes in it.
3. Put it over the TV while the real Queen’s speech is on.
You get the say effect without having to watch Channel 4
Please ensure that it is a Waitrose bag though, I don’t think we should humiliate her maj by making her wear a Netto or an Iceland bag. (God bless you ma’m. What’s that? My knighthod’s in the post you say?)
Although of course, if a Niquab is involved, anyone could do it. After all, who would know the difference?
