Indian Catholics have an idea
Mumbai-based campaign group, the bizarrely-named Catholic Secular Forum, has come up with an excellent way to protest against the Da Vinci Code film: “fast unto death”.
Joseph Dias, the group’s general secretary explains:
It’s to show the extent that our feelings have been hurt … It’s a more Christian way of doing things rather than pulling down things and tearing them up
Stephen Green, John Beyer, all you boys on the Muslim Action Committee – are you listening?
The same group are also calling for a second film, Tickle My Funny Bone, to be banned because it “hurts religious sentiments”. It features a “naughty nun”.
Naughty nun? Surely the End of Times is upon us!
I love the way this confirms Charlie Darwin’s ideas.
Catholic secular – now that’s a new oxymoron for the book!
Well, it will save fellow Indians from all that Mumbai-jumbo.
Wow, a way for Dan Brown to make even more money, the Da Vinci Diet!!
Wonder what they’d think of the Fast Show?
I thought suicide was a sin?
Unfortunately, in the same country the Mumbai Catholic Council has threatened to stop the screening of the film if the government fails to ban it, and one Roman Catholic has offered a bounty of US$25,000 on the head of Dan Brown.
