Wilders petition gets 20,000 in 2 days

Whatever you think of Geert Wilders politics – and here at MWW his hypocritical call to “ban the Koran” put him in the clown corner a long time ago – his prosecution by the Dutch government is an affront to the ideals of free speech and democracy.

And I’m guessing he won’t be back to argue his corner.

His prosecution is a consequence of free speech.

The freedom of speech is no license to incite to hatred, discimination, or insult.

He has been and remains free to say whatever he likes and wants, but when he does so he will have to suffer the consequences, i.e. that someone will attempt to prosecute him.

Oh yeah? Then, I guess, you have to ban Islam.
Discrimination of human rights (women and children), racist hate propaganda (Christians and Jews are swines and dogs), incitement to murder (the non-believers).
