Enemies of the internet
Reporters Sans Frontieres has published a blacklist of 13 countries with the worst records of internet censorship. They are running a campaign where you can register your opposition to this by clicking on this map within the next 24 hours.
The 13 “Internet black holes” are:
Belarus
Burma
China
Cuba
Egypt
Iran
North Korea
Saudi Arabia
Syria
Tunisia
Turkmenistan
Uzbekistan
Vietnam
They have left out the big enabler from this list. The country that makes and sells proxy software to censor the Internet on a national level. The same country that is home to the search engines that censor searches for oppressive regimes too. Any guesses where? Some clues: Land, free, home, brave.
