Boycott Denmark, urges ISESCO
Denmark.dk reports that the Islamic cultural organisation ISESCO has called on its 51 members to boycott Denmark over the Mohammed cartoons. ISESCO claims that it “represents the cultural conscience of the Islamic world.”
Abdul Aziz Othman al-Twaijri, the organisation’s secretary general:
We encourage the organisation’s members to boycott Denmark both economically and politically until Denmark presents an official apology for the drawings that have offended the world’s Muslims.

But when that is said….can you justify that threats on Danes….the burning of flags….the beating of Danish aid workers….the bomb threats…..the lie that is spread ….the Imams from Denmark clearly lieing to your ovn people.

Let me help you…There is two answers to this question “yes” or “no”.
If you answer is “NO”, then there is still hope for things to get soloved. If you answer is “Yes” then you clearly have a problem with all the people of the western world and the laws and our way of living here. Then there in only one thing for you and those who thinks like you, to do. Go back to the countries that you come from and live your ways there and do what ever you wanna do as long as you keep it in your part of the world. Boycott all you want, but do it all the way and also say “NO” to humanitarian help from the western world.
Antother thing I can tell you is, that this morning there was an interview (in the news) with an Imam in Denmark saying this:
He said he was pleased with what the News paper have said in the matter and what the Danish PM have said. And that its the most that we can get from this matter (he know the meaning of “freedom of speech”) and that he in his fridays pray will talk about muslims to calm down.

XXX….I dont care what any religion says…I respect all man kind regardless of his or her religion. Untill the time that they show me that they aint worthy of my respect. And im telling you, I find it hard to keep my respect for the majority of muslims today. Every time the west does something that isnt acording to the muslim way of living …you steer up trouble…NewsFlash…this is the west and its our laws and rules that counts here. Let me give you an ex.:
Muslim woman can go with there face covered here and do as they want, you dont see us stoning or beating them up. I would like to see what happens if a western woman did that in a muslim country. In the western world ….we do respect people and there different backgrounds….and if we do something thats against the laws there is a very good court system to deal with that. I suppose, not knowing about Islam is a major concern these days with most of the non-Muslims.

That is done to ….the freedom of speech alsow include talk about the good things. But the muslim people just dont wanna know about that. Becourse you cant talk bad or make any violent things about that. Here is just one good thing Denmark did for your muslim brothers, the earthquake not long ago in pakistan. In Denmark we had and Aid consert and raised a lot of money to help them. One of the highest amount in Denmark.

As an Italian man who has lived in Denmark for some years (and found the Danes quit less good-natured than I expected), I must remind you that ‘Jyllandsposten’ is a fanatic right-wing newspaper and it was just trying to give a hand to the right-wing government of Denmark, stranded in the Iraqi bloodbath, with some good old racism and islamophobic prejudices.
Unfortunately, the matter went out of hand, but they obtained to offend the feelings of millions of muslims all over the world and proving to them that the European so-called “democracies” only care for religious feelings when they concide with the majority of the population (well, the Sohah proved it quite clearly – it surely wasn’t started by muslims).
Have you seen the drawings? Maybe if you had, you wouldn’t be so keen on them. And Christians surely wouldn’t have tolerated them if they had concerned Jesus. I’ve heard a lot of racist mumblings these days, sometimes even by close associates; the commonest was: “This (burning and attacks) wouldn’t happen in our country”. This is not true. It did happen, and it could happen again just any time. Human beings are the same everywhere, bad and good, god-fearing and god-hating and (mostly) fearing their own God and hating anyone else’s.
I just want to say to anybody, muslims or christians or atheists, that the true enemy for mankind are those faceless people that preach hatred, be they newspaper owners or mob leaders. I suggest that we rather unite all in the affection and respect for each other, against these monsters that want to dominate the world by dividing it up into small closed communities, that intensely dislike each other.
To all muslim friends on this discussion, and to the Danes as well, I would also like to make a present of this sentence by author Carsten Jensen that describes my exact feelings, and could be applied not only to Denmark, but to Italy, Israel or any other country: “Jeg vil ikke leve i et land, som for at kunne elske sig selv er nødt til at bilde sig ind, at det er bedre end alle andre” (“I don’t want to live in a country, which can only love itself by imagining to be better than all others”).

I am horrified by racist comments in this thread. I wonder whether the time has come to shut it down, before some “Europeans” bring even more shame to the name of Europe, reminding the rest of the world that modern racism was born in here.
I cannot apologize for what other people have said through no fault of mine, but I would like to ensure our muslim friends that I feel revulsion for these racist madmen and I’m not the only one.
Of course, I may not feel confortable with all aspects of some islamic cultures (such as the position of women in present day Saudi Arabia, etc.), but I don’t feel I have the right to come and preach you what is right and what is wrong, especially after so much evil has been worked by western peoples troughout their history.
By the way, did you know the Danes have been some of the most efficient slave traders in the 18th century? There is a very informative book by Thorkild Hansen called “Ships of slaves” that will inform our muslim friends on how democratic Danes were back then. It took just three centuries for a Dane to see how wrong his ancestors were…

I believe Churchill’s words were “the soft underbelly of Europe†– now I’m not one for judging an entire nation on the basis of one mistake – but it seems to me that you fit the descriptions just fine. No backbone and no sense of democratic values, what a waste!
I can’t believe I’m sitting here and listening to this from an Italian – I have so many fine Italian friends that support Denmark and democracy – well just goes to show that religion can shot the eyes on even on of the finest people of Europe.

There is no one that has said you (muslims) shouldnt be offended by the cartoons. NO ONE …its okay you are.
And those of you that is offended should let people know that is offends you.
That is what democracy is all about and is how we do things in the civilized world. We dont have to agree on everything, but we (the western world) knows how to talk to eachother.
An ex.:

– Boycotting Danish products for something a News paper did. (that does not hurt(non violent way) the newspaper, but only the people of denmark, companies and even your own people)
– Those threats that is made against every Dane.
– The voilent acts against Denmark and the Danish people.
– Burning of the Danish Flag.
– Spreading lie about Denmark.
– Making bomb threats toward Danish interests.
– Calling for holy war on Danmark and its people.
I do not care how angry, mad and offended you are at the cartoonsor anything else …NOTHING …I mean NOTHING that is justifying your voilent actions NOTHING.
I say that to you …and I would say the same to anyone else that would make the same uncivilized actions.

A News paper in Iran making a cartoon competition, Damn you people are behaving like small kids with no upbringing. What a joke and dobbelt standard.
Its so childish and will NOT bring you understanding, just the opporsite. The same goes for the violent actions.
Even your own people are hurt by this, among them are two writers that where suppose to give a speech in Denmark. Theny cancelled becourse they are afraid of the consequence when they return home.
You guys crossed “the point of no return” by all your actions. Your job is now, to get back across the line and let dialog talk and NOT violence and threating actions.
